Vinyls Italia Could Resume Production in March

Vinyls Italia will likely restart production of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and vinyl chloride monomer in March if investment fund Gita (Zurich), as expected, completes the acquisition of the company, Italian press reports say. The Italian government approved Gita's initial bid to buy Vinyls Italia last month and Gita is preparing to submit a final offer in mid-February. The deal is expected to close by March 10.
