Solvay Expands Fluoropolymers Capacity at Italian Site

Solvay Solexis, a Solvay subsidiary, says it has decided to double production capacity for a family of perfluoropolyether (PFPE) polymers. The expansion will take place at Solvay Solexis’s fluorinated polymers plant at Spinetta Marengo, Italy. The project includes a large capacity increase for PFPEs sold under the Solvera and Fluorolink brand names. The expansion will be “progressively implemented” during 2008, Solvay says.
