Fine Chemicals Company Euticals to Acquire Archimica

TowerBrook Capital Partners (London) says it has agreed to sell pharmaceutical fine chemicals company Archimica (Origgio, Italy) to Euticals (Milan, Italy), for an undisclosed sum. The transaction is expected to be completed next month. TowerBrook acquired Archimica from Clariant in June 2006. Archimica employs about 550 people at six production sites in Italy, France, Germany, U.K, and U.S. and had sales of €131 million ($174 million) in 2009, a 16% increase from 2008.
