ENI to Appeal Fine for Contamination of Italian Lake

ENI (Rome) says it will appeal a €1.9-billion ($3 billion) fine imposed by a Turin, Italy court for environmental damage caused by leaks of the pesticide DDT in 1990-96 from a chemical complex at Pieve Vergonte, Italy into nearby Lake Maggiore.
