ENI Denies Permanent Closure of Porto Torres Cracker; Revises Plans for a Temporary Shutdown

ENI (Rome) has confirmed that it has no intention of closing its petrochemical complex at Porto Torres on the island of Sardinia, Italy on a permanent basis. But the company has had to alter recently announced plans for a temporary closure of the steam cracker that is the main operating unit at the site. Polimeri Europa, an ENI subsidiary, operates the Porto Torres complex.
