DSM and Roquette Build Commercial Scale Bio-Based Succinic Acid Plant

DSM and the starch and starch derivatives company Roquette Frères (Lestrem, France) have announced plans to build a commercial scale plant to produce bio-based succinic acid, the first non-fossil feedstock derived chemical building block. The plant will be designed to produce 10,000 m.t./year and will be Europe's largest bio-based succinic acid facility.
