Warehouse fire at Ludwigshafen causes evacuation of 2,300 inhabitants

A fire that broke out in the warehouse of an undisclosed logistics company at Ludwigshafen on 22 June resulted in the precautionary evacuation of 2,300 residents, according to press reports. The fire was brought under control after about 16 hours by more than 140 firefighters. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are not known.
