Wacker upgrades annual earnings forecast on restructured polysilicon contracts

Wacker Chemie said today that it has upgraded its annual Ebitda projection. Ebitda for 2014 is now projected to be at least one-third higher than last year’s €678.7 million ($915.2 million). Before the upgrade, Wacker had expected to surpass its 2013 Ebitda by at least 10%. The upward revision is based on good business performance and strong demand, especially at the company's polysilicon arm, and success at reducing costs, the company says.
