Wacker raises sales and earnings, confirms forecast upgrade

Wacker today reported a near doubling in second-quarter net profit and a major increase in sales in all its business segments. Net income rose 94.7%, to €29.4 million ($39.4 million), while sales advanced 8%, to €1.24 billion. Ebitda was 21.9% higher, at €229.5 million, and Ebitda margin reached 18.5% compared with 16.4% in the second quarter of 2013. All five business divisions grew both year-on-year and quarter-on-quarter.
