VCI sees German output gains on strength in fine and specialty chemicals

Industry association VCI (Frankfurt) says it continues to forecast an increase in German chemical production of 1.5% for the full-year 2013, driven by gains in fine and specialty production. Chemical sales are expected to rise by 1%, to €189 billion ($249 billion). Producer prices are expected to fall by about 0.5%, VCI says. VCI had previously forecast stagnation in prices for 2013....
