Styron to convert Ni-BR rubber production line at Schkopau

Styron says that it plans to convert its nickel butadiene rubber (Ni-BR) production plant at Schkopau, Germany, to neodymium butadiene rubber (Nd-BR). The company says that the Nd-BR offering, together with its technology in solution-polymerized styrene butadiene rubber (S-SBR) will allow Styron’s customers to meet the increasing demand for green tires and ultrahigh-performance tires.
