Sika buys fire protection coatings and systems business of Rütgers Organics

Sika (Baar, Switzerland) says that it has acquired the fire protection coatings and systems business of Rütgers Organics (Mannheim, Germany), a member of International Chemical Investors Group (ICIG; Luxembourg). Financial terms were not disclosed. The acquired business has annual sales of about SF6 million ($6.4 million). The acquisition helps Sika to strengthen its market position in fire protection, the company says.
