New Zealand Firm Acquires Bayer MaterialScience’s Viverso Unit for €75 Million

Polymer resins manufacturer Nuplex Industries (Auckland, New Zealand) says it has signed an agreement to acquire the Viverso (Bitterfeld, Germany) subsidiary of Bayer MaterialScience for €75 million ($106 million). Viverso manufactures resins used in coatings and putties from its facility at Bitterfeld. The transaction includes Viverso and all associated plants and assets and selected product groups that Viverso currently manufactures for companies of Bayer MaterialScience under a toll manufacturing agreement.
