Momentive to Close Epoxies Plant in Germany

Momentive Specialty Chemicals says it will close permanently a solid epoxy resins plant at Wesseling, Germany in October 2012 with the loss of about 30 jobs. Momentive's Wesseling plant is operated by LyondellBasell through a leasing arrangement. Affected employees of LyondellBasell have been notified of the decision, Momentive says. The plant closure is intended to "better align European market demand for solid epoxy resins with Momentive's existing assets," the company says.
