Linde Posts Higher First-Half Profits and Sales, Confirms Outlook

Linde posted a 12% increase in operating profits for the first half of 2011 compared with the first half of 2010, to €1.6 billion on sales up 11%, to €6.8 billion. Earnings after tax increased 24%, to €598 million. Second-quarter figures were not disclosed.
