Lenzing Expands R&D Cooperation with German Company

Lenzing announced the expansion of its cooperation with smartfiber (Rudolstadt, Germany). Lenzing will be the exclusive producer of the lyocell specialty fibers smartcel and SeaCell, developed by smartfiber, at Lenzing's complex in upper Austria, under the terms of the latest announcement. Smartfiber's pilot plant will also be relocated from Rudolstadt to the Lenzing site, and smartfiber will continue to be responsible for the sales and marketing of smartcel and SeaCell fibers.
