Leading Chemical Firms Join German Alliance to Secure Raw Materials

BASF, Bayer, Evonik Industries, and Wacker Chemie are among the 12 founding members of an alliance of German industrial companies that aims to secure raw material supplies in the face of growing competition from emerging countries. The Federation of German Industries (BDI; Berlin) led the project to create the alliance, and announced its formation this week.
