Lanxess opens new chloroprene rubber production plant at Dormagen

Lanxess has announced that it has completed expanding a Baypren polychloroprene solid rubber production facility at Dormagen, Germany. Werner Breuers, member of the board; and Jan Paul de Vries, head/high-performance elastomers, officially inaugurated the line today. The plant uses innovative dry-finishing production technology developed by Lanxess. The process enables Baypren to be manufactured in a more resource-friendly way, the company says.
