Lanxess Reports Record Third Quarter, Confirms Guidance, Acquires Biocides Business in the U.S.

Lanxess today reported a 31% increase in third quarter net profits to €154 million ($210 million) on 26% higher sales at €2.3 billion, compared with the year-earlier period. Earnings per share were 30.3% higher at €1.85. Group Ebitda margin was flat at 13.3%. The company says this was its best-ever third quarter result, surpassing the 2010 earnings already in the first nine months of this year.
