Jürgen Hambrecht proposed as chairman of BASF's supervisory board

BASF announced today that Jürgen Hambrecht, former chairman and CEO, has been proposed as the next chairman of the supervisory board of the company. He is expected to replace Eggert Voscherau who has chaired the supervisory board since 2009 but is not available for re-election. Max Dietrich Kley, former CFO of BASF and member of the supervisory board since 2003, is also stepping down from the supervisory board.
