Israel Chemicals acquires German maker of spice blends and food ingredients

Israel Chemicals Ltd. (ICL; Tel Aviv) today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Hagesüd Group (Hemmingen, Germany), a producer of premium spice blends and food ingredients for meat processing. The transaction includes all of the operating assets of the company, including Hagesüd’s existing business, production technology, and warehouse facilities located at Hemmigen, Dortmund, and Ottensoos, Germany, with about 200 employees.
