German chemical industry reports mixed first-half 2013

The chemical industry in Germany achieved mixed results in the first half of 2013, says German chemical industry association VCI (Frankfurt). Domestic demand was weak, but exports rose, in particular to other parts of Europe. Production and sales remained at the level of the previous year.
