German Lawmakers Vote Down Carbon Storage Plan

The Bundesrat, the German parliament’s upper house, on Friday voted to block legislation that would have allowed the pilot-scale underground storage of compressed carbon dioxide ahead of a feasibility study in 2017. The German government must now introduce a revised version of the proposed law.
