Evonik expands production capacities for nylon-12 and nylon powder at Marl

Evonik Industries says it has expanded production capacity for its Vestamid nylon-12 by 5,000 m.t./year at the company’s Marl, Germany, site. In addition, preparations have begun for increasing the production of Vestosint nylon powder at the site. Evonik says it has also developed an improved conventional process for producing nylon-12 and significantly progressed developing a butadiene- and cyclododecatriene (CDT)-free route.
