Clariant to Build Third Plant for Non-Halogenated Flame Retardants at German Site

Clariant has announced plans to build a third production unit for non-halogenated flame retardants at Hürth-Knapsack, Germany. The unit is due for completion in 2013 and will result in a tripling of capacity at the site since 2010. The expansion program began with a debottlenecking of Clariant's first non-halogenated flame retardants plant at Hürth-Knapsack that was completed in mid-2011.
