Clariant signs long-term ethylene supply contract with OMV

Clariant says that it has signed a long-term ethylene supply contract with Austrian oil and gas company OMV (Vienna). OMV will supply Clariant’s site at Gendorf, Germany, with ethylene, starting 2015. The agreement will enable Clariant to source most of its ethylene requirements in southern Bavaria, Clariant says. The Clariant plant at Gendorf is part of the industrial and consumer specialties (ICS) business unit and, with about 700 employees, is the business unit’s largest production site.
