Bayer to Build Wheat and Oilseeds Breeding Center in Australia

Bayer CropScience says it plans to invest €12 million ($14.8 million) to establish a breeding center focused on wheat and oilseeds in the Winmera region, near Horsham in the state of Victoria, Australia. The target of the new breeding center is to develop new varieties with higher yields and productivity improvements tailored to Australian conditions.
