Bayer CropScience ups capital spending to €2.4 billion through 2016

Bayer CropScience (BCS) today announced plans to increase capital expenditure (capex) to a combined €2.4 billion ($3.16 billion) in the next four years, about €1 billion up on previously announced plans. Speaking at the annual press briefing in Monheim, Germany today, BCS’s CEO Liam Condon said the increased expenditure is the result of very strong demand for Bayer CropScience’s products.
