Bayer Announces Major Job Cuts Following Schering Acquisition

Big cuts planned: Bayer Schering Pharma offices in Berlin. Bayer HealthCare says it will cut 1,500 jobs in Germany as part of a previously announced restructuring. Most of the jobs will be lost at the Berlin headquarters of Bayer Schering Pharma, the company says. Bayer acquired Schering last year and merged it with Bayer’s pharma business to create Bayer Schering Pharma.
