Regions :: Western Europe :: Germany BASF divests Conica Sports Surfaces business to Serafin Group2:29 PM MST | January 9, 2013 | Francinia Protti-Alvarez BASF has signed an agreement with Serafin Group (Munich) for the sale by BASF of the Conica Sports Surfaces business together with its site at Schaffhausen, Switzerland, to Serafin. BASF put the business up for sale in March 2012. The deal is expected to close by the end of the second quarter 2013. Financial details for the transaction have not been disclosed. Conica, acquired by BASF in 2006 as a part of the takeover of the former Degussa's construction chemicals activities, has a portfolio that includes flooring systems for running tracks, multipurpose...
