Regions :: Western Europe :: Germany BASF Invests in Plastics Firm1:22 PM MDT | April 3, 2012 | Vincent Valk BASF’s venture capital arm has invested $2.7 million in FRX Polymers, a maker of flame-retardant plastics. The investment was a part of a $26.7 million Series B funding round which was led by DB Masdar Fund and BASF. FRX announced in June 2011 raised $15.7 million in the series B round, but kept it open due to investor interest, the company says. FRX is currently commercializing its line of polyphosphonate homopolymers, copolymers and oligomers for flame retardation applications.
