AkzoNobel Awards Chlor-alkali Conversion Contract to Tebodin

AkzoNobel has selected consulting and engineering firmTebodin (the Hague) for the engineering, procurement and construction management contract for a previously announced chlorine plant at Frankfurt, based on membrane technology. The new plant will increase current annual production at Frankfurt by approximately 50%, to 250,000 m.t./year of chlorine and 275,000 m.t./year of caustic soda. The project will lead to improved energy consumption by nearly 30%/m.t., the company says.    The project will be carried out in conjunction with...
