ECHA invites harmonized classification and labeling comments on tributyltin compounds and PHMB

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA; Helsinki) has invited comments on two new proposals for harmonized classification and labeling (CLH). The chemicals concerned are poly(hexamethylene biguanide hydrochloride) (PHMB), used as a disinfectant; and tributyltin compounds—with tributyltin oxide as lead compound—used as an intermediate in manufacturing other tributyltin compounds, as a stabilizer for polyvinyl chloride, and as a catalyst for the production of various consumer products.
