Bayer supports pharmaceutical research project

Bayer says that its Bayer HealthCare subsidiary and Leiden University (Leiden, Netherlands) will coordinate a newly founded international consortium, called kinetics for drug discovery (K4DD), which has been launched to explore a novel concept in drug discovery and to tackle a problem in the development of new drugs. Although successful in early phases of development, many drug candidates fail in clinical studies due to lack of efficacy, Bayer says.
