Tanker Carrying Naphtha-range Product in Collision off France (update)

A tanker ship carrying chemicals in the English Channel just off the coast of north west coast of France has been in a collision with another ship. The YM Uranus, is carrying heavy pyrolysis gas – known as pygas, a naptha-range product featuring high levels of benzene, according to reports. The ship has a reported capacity of 6,000 m.t. The ship's crew of 13 have been airlifted to safety.   The YM Uranus reportedly collided with a bulk container ship within 50 miles from of the French coast at about 4:30 am today.
