Stepan Buys Two Arkema Units

Stepan has agreed to acquire the quaternary esters and phosphoric esters businesses of Ceca, an Arkema subsidiary. Quaternary esters are used in the production of textile softener and phosphoric esters are used as synthesis intermediates in a range of industrial applications.
