Solvay to optimize adipic acid production in France

Solvay will install a new process at its industrial plant at Chalampé, France, to reduce the plant’s energy consumption by eight megawatts and carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by 11,000 m.t./year, the company announced today. The deployment will require five weeks of work, Solvay says—however, "a complete restart of the plant’s adipic acid production is not envisaged," Solvay adds.
