Solvay shuts down adipic acid plant at Chalampé for maintenance

Solvay says it will shut down its adipic acid and KA-oil (Olone) manufacturing plant at Chalampé, France for maintenance for six weeks in September and October. Manufacturing will be completely stopped to allow the inspection of equipment. This shutdown will also be an opportunity to bring about some improvements to production, lower energy consumption and emissions, and improve the site’s environmental footprint, the company says.
