Solvay invests to improve efficiency at adipic acid plant in France

Solvay is investing in the adipic acid production line at its Chalampé, France site, the company announced today. The investment will result in a further improvement in the adipic acid manufacturing process, the company says. The investment, the value of which was not disclosed, aims to reinforce cost leadership by significantly reducing the site’s energy consumption. “This new process will result in an 8-megawatt reduction of energy consumption per year as well as an 11,000-m.t./year reduction in CO2 emissions,” says Christophe Bertrand...
