Solvay Applies for Paris Stock Exchange Listing

Solvay says it has applied for a listing of its shares on the NYSE Euronext Paris exchange. Solvay's shares are already listed on NYSE Euronext Brussels. Solvay strengthened its presence in France with the acquisition of Rhodia for €3.4 billion, completed in August 2011. France today is, from an industrial point of view, the most important country for Solvay with 15 production sites, five R&D centers, and about 7,000 employees, the company says.  Solvay shares are expected to be listed on NYSE Euronext Paris from January 23, 2012.
