Regions :: Western Europe :: France SNF to Boost Polymers Capacity 50% by 201210:34 AM MDT | July 14, 2010 | Kara Sissell SNF (Andrézieux, France) says it will increase global production capacity 50%, to 580,000 m.t./year, by 2012 in an effort to meet increasing demand in for water-soluble polymers. SNF has not detailed total investment costs for the 2010-2012 program, but plans include a 50,000 m.t./year acrylamide plant and four 20,000 m.t./year anionic powder plants to be built at Plaquemine, LA. Initial phases of the production plants are expected to start up in early 2011. The total cost of the Louisiana projects is estimated to be $362 million. At Taixing...
