Ineos Acquires Tessenderlo Group's PVC and Chlor-Alkali Business

Ineos's Kerling subsidiary  has agreed to acquire Tessenderlo Group's polyvinyl chloride (PVC) activities, including Tessenderlo's chlor-alkali operations and part of the company's organic chlorine derivatives. The purchase price is €110 milion ($159.7 million) on a cash-free and debt-free basis. Tessenderlo announced last year that it was planning to exit the PVC business. The company, an integrated PVC producer, has capacity to make 400,000 m.t./year of chlorine; 550,000 m.t./year of vinyl chloride monomer (VCM); and 480,000...
