IFA: World Fertilizer Demand to Increase 3% to 178.2 Million M.T.

The International Fertilizer Industry Association (IFA; Paris) says that world fertilizer demand is anticipated to rise steadily in 2012, in response to attractive agricultural commodity prices. “World demand would increase by 3% in 2011-2012, to a record 178.2 million m.t.,” says Patrick Heffer, director of the IFA Agriculture Service.
