French Industry Association Downgrades 2012 Growth Forecast

French chemical industry association UIC (Paris) has revised its forecast for 2012 growth in output by France's chemical industry to 1.8%, from 2.4%. UIC maintained its projection for chemicals output growth of 4.5% in 2011. Chemical production in France will nevertheless in 2012 exceed output in 2007, the year before the last global financial crisis and recession began, UIC says.
