France's BDI Group takes over Semoflex, becomes third-largest PE converter in France

The Bourgogne Développement Industrie Group (BDI; Paris) has acquired Semoflex (Ogeu-les-Bains, France), the companies have announced. The takeover results in BDI, which also owns Ceisa Packaging (Bernay, France) becoming one of the largest converters of polyethylene (PE) in France, with a volume of about 60,000 m.t./year, BDI says. The group's packaging division is expected to generate annual sales of about €120 million ($157 million). Transaction details have not been disclosed.
