Regions :: Western Europe :: France Evonik Acquires Arkema's Methacrylate Esters Business1:23 PM MDT | March 29, 2010 | Natasha Alperowicz Evonik Industries has acquired Arkema's specialty methacrylate esters business for an undisclosed price. The move follows the restructuring of Arkema's Carling, France methacrylates operations last year, which included closure of the company's 80,000-m.t./year methyl methacrylate (MMA) unit at the site. This unit supplied feedstock to the methacrylate ester facilities, which produced 2-ethylhexyl methacrylate, dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate, and n- and i-butyl methacrylate.
