Regions :: Western Europe :: France ECHA Gathers Data for Restricting the Use of Two Chemicals in Europe4:19 AM MDT | June 22, 2010 | Alex Scott The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA; Helsinki) is inviting interested parties to comment on a proposal put forward by the French government to ban the use of lead and its derivatives in jewellery and the use of fungicide dimethylfumarate (DMFu) in consumer articles. Interested parties have until September 21 to comment on the proposal. The final opinions of the committees on the proposed restrictions are scheduled for June 2011.
