Arkema to Commercialize PEKK in Europe, Expand in U.S.

Arkema plans to announce definitive plans by year-end to commercialize production of polyether ketone ketone (PEKK) in Europe, CW has learned. PEKK is an ultra high-performance technical polymer that Oxford Performance Materials (OPM; Enfield, CT) makes on a small scale at Enfield; OPM, which developed the product over 10 years, was recently acquired by Arkema.
