Arkema expands its EVOH range

Arkema has expanded its range of Evasin-branded ethylene vinyl alcohol (EVOH) copolymers with two new grades containing 44% ethylene, the company says. Arkema's range now offers EVOH with an ethylene content of 29–44% that can be used for most barrier films applications, the company says. EVOH is a specialty copolymer with very high barrier properties to gases such as oxygen and carbon dioxide as well as aromatics and other hydrocarbons.The new grades can be processed by single-bubble or double-bubble blown film extrusion for heat-shrink applications, in...
