Arkema Wins Appeal Against Antitrust Fine

Arkema today won an appeal against a €219.1 million ($319.8 million) European Union antitrust fine for fixing the price of methacrylates after a court decided that the penalty was excessive. The EU General Court (Luxembourg) reduced the 2006 fine imposed by the European Commission on Arkema and its units for participating in a cartel to €113.3 million.
